The most recent virtual meeting of the IAOP Outsourcing Tools & Technology Innovation Chapter co-chaired by GSOS, AT&T, BeyondCore, Amex and Wipro was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The chapters’ co-chairs and executive advisory committee (EAC) welcomed your participation at their latest webinar where the IAOP demonstrated the “IAOP Outsourcing Value-Health Check Survey (VHCS)” to members and non-members. Members who are using the beta version commented on their experience with the tool. The tool is scheduled to be released June 1. Meeting held April 21, 2009 The Outsourcing Tools & Technology Innovation Chapter held their a webinar on April 21, 2009. Professor Tom Kosnik from Stanford University shared enlightening data in a presentation entitled “Research Results on Total Cost of Outsourcing Operations.” Two teams of graduate students conducted over 100 interviews with executives from top insurance and financial services firms as well as international BPO vendors during a six month period as part of a Global Entrepreneurial Marketing (GEM) class. Direct cost of Operations (DCO) + Total Cost of Errors (TCE) + Cost of Control (CoC) = Total Cost of Ownership/Outsourcing (TCO). By reviewing processes using this formula, information was shared that would help you shift your TCE Frontier and increase quality control. Meeting held March 10, 2009 The Outsourcing Tools Chapter held their first webinar of the re-launched chapter, co-chaired by GSOS, AT&T, BeyondCore, Amex and Wipro, on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm EST. During the first webinar lead co-chair Matt Shocklee introduced the concepts of the chapter and the leadership team with a presentation entitled “Meet the Outsourcing Tools Chapter Leadership Team as they Introduce their Strategic Program: ToolsMAP.” This strategic program will help providers understand the contemporary needs of IAOP membership for tools including required features and functions, help all IAOP members understand the tools available to optimize outsourcing value and provide the industry with a forum to promote the development of advanced outsourcing tools & technologies. The Outsourcing Tools Chapter is Re-launched! The Outsourcing Tools Chapter will be re-launching in 2009! Chapter Co-Chairs Matthew Shocklee, President & CEO of Global Sourcing Optimization Services (GSOS) LLC, Kathy England, Vice President of AT&T, Inc, and Arijit Sengupta, CEO of Beyond Core, Inc. plan to bring you some phenomenal programs during 2009! In addition to the chapter’s primary purpose, this chapter will create a forum where members will define the future standards that current and future tools providers should consider when developing future capabilities to address the needs of customers, providers and advisors involved in global outsourcing. IAOP Members will be able to learn, interact and share stories with users, tools vendors, service providers and other thought leaders in the industry. In addition, the Chapter will assist in setting guidance and direction for IAOP sponsored Tools Research which will be conducted periodically. Meeting Held – Tuesday, September 18, 2007 The third meeting of the Outsourcing Tools Chapter took place on Tuesday, September 18, via webinar. Topics covered included: Building Healthy Relationships Through the Use of Tools “The Service Provider perspective” We introduced two service providers who have recognized the value of using tools and technology to foster strong relationships by offering transparency, easy access to information and monitoring the overall performance the engagement. |
